Our Ministers

SENIOR PASTOR
REVEREND
LYNN A. SULLIVAN
Lynn has a BS and BFA from Southern Methodist University, and a MS in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas before heading to New York. She continued her education with an M Div. from New York Theological Seminary and took graduate courses at Adelphi in Community Health Education. She has been active in her community and congregation’s association. She currently serves the association as Chair of the Boundary Awareness Training and is a member on the statewide Commission on Ministry. She is active in the Garden City Clergy Fellowship. She and her husband, Mark, have two grown daughters, Laura who lives in Astoria and Sarah, living in Atlanta.

MUSIC MINISTER
FRANK CROSIO
Frank conducts our vocal choirs and our hand-bell choir. He is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and holds Colleague (CAGO) Associate (AAGO) and Fellow (FAGO) academic certificates from the American Guild of Organists and the Fellow’s Diploma in organ performance from Trinity College, London.

LICENSED MINISTER
GEORGE BASHIAN
Having served in many capacities as a lay member, George entered New York Theological Seminary in 1994 and completed a Master of Divinity Degree. When he graduated, he joined the church staff as a licensed minister. He serves in many areas, including worship, caring ministries, educational programs, leading retreats, and even playing accordion! If you are a new visitor to the Garden City Community Church, George will be sure to seek you out and, in his enthusiastic, welcoming way, hand you a small cross and share a blessing.

CHRIS DIEGUEZ
LICENSED MINISTER
Chris Dieguez is presently a Member in Discernment with the Metropolitan Association of the New York Conference, UCC. Chris has been serving at the GCCC as its youth coordinator since 2014, working with middle and high school students. He is currently the confirmation and youth leader.
Chris received his bachelor's in philosophy from Vassar College in 2011. Towards the end of college, he felt called to professional ministry and traveled to Durham, North Carolina to study at Duke Divinity School. There, he specialized in gender and theology and studied under feminist theologians and biblical scholars. Chris has tended towards marginalized populations and the ways that their experiences shed new light on the way the church ought to think, worship, and act.
