Rev. Bonnie McDougall is a familiar face to Garden City Community Church where she served as temporary pastor when Rev. Lynn Sullivan was on sabbatical and has frequently served as a supply preacher. Bonnie earned her MDiv. from Union Theological Seminary in New York and is an ordained UCC minister with the NY Metro Association. She also holds a MS from Columbia University in Narrative Medicine and MFA from Brooklyn College in non-Profit Management of Arts organizations. Bonnie served as the associate pastor at The Church-in-the Gardens in Forest Hills and as temporary pastor there during times of pastoral transitions. Ms. Olson has also served as chaplain to the severely mentally ill at Creedmoor Psychiatric Center. She and her husband, Dan, have three children: a writer, a winemaker and a photographer! They are also blessed with two baby grandsons, Hugh and Jack.
Frank conducts our vocal choirs and our hand-bell choir. He is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and holds Colleague (CAGO) Associate (AAGO) and Fellow (FAGO) academic certificates from the American Guild of Organists and the Fellow’s Diploma in organ performance from Trinity College, London.
Having served in many capacities as a lay member, George entered New York Theological Seminary in 1994 and completed a Master of Divinity Degree. When he graduated, he joined the church staff as a licensed minister. He serves in many areas, including worship, caring ministries, educational programs, leading retreats, and even playing accordion! If you are a new visitor to the Garden City Community Church, George will be sure to seek you out and, in his enthusiastic, welcoming way, hand you a small cross and share a blessing.
