“The Secret to Extraordinary Faith is Fully Engaging Our Minds, as well as Our Hearts, because Dynamic Faith requires a Healthy Balance of Both." ~Patty Houser
At different times of the year we offer forums in our Church Parlor which becomes a space for Learning and Discussion about Current Social Issues, led by a diverse and talented group of speakers. The Committees on Christian Social Responsibilities (CCSR) and Just Peace’s goals are to renew and strengthen our commitment to advocate justice and equality for all people in all areas of society.
Our Reader's Circle
Our Reader’s Circle usually meets every other month, on the second Tuesday of the month. We meet at the church at noon to enjoy lunch, a shared dessert and to discuss the book we are reading. It is a chance to sit down and have a nice conversation with our friends. All are welcome to attend.
The monthly Men’s breakfast is meeting every first Saturday of every month at 8:00AM, at the Carle Place Diner, 151 Old Country Road, Carle Place, NY.
All men of the church and their visitors are welcome; it is an opportunity to enjoy relaxed fellowship and conversation over a shared meal.
No reservations necessary, please join us.
During different times of the year we offer yoga sessions in our Chapel. Join us as we Come Together to Bring Calmness to our Bodies and Minds. When this is planned, you will be able to find more information in our online newsletter.
AA Support Groups meet on a weekly basis, where All are Welcome. The AA meetings at the church are on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays at 7:30 pm. We have an Alanon meeting on Sundays at 6:30 pm. For more information on AA go to www.nassauny-aa.org.
