"Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that breathes praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!"
There are exactly 150 Psalms in the Bible. So this is the final set of verses in the book. Doesn't it end beautifully? "Let everything that breathes praise the Lord." I love thinking of all living things being a part of God's life, God's goodness, and God's plan.
And what does it mean to praise the Lord with our breath? I think that it means to live joyfully, using the force of life that flows through us to give thanks to the one who makes each breath possible. It means to live with gratitude, using our breath to give thanks. And it means using our words to bring about peace and harmony. Let's be joyful creatures of God's good world, using each word we say, from the start of the day to the end, to bring glory to God.
