Ordinary Time: Summer Study for Adults
Have you ever found some traditional Christian beliefs to be troublesome and even offensive to your personal views? Have you ever wondered which beliefs are essential for Christians and which ones are ok for us to disagree about?
You are not alone! In recent years, many Christians with concerns like these have started a meaningful dialogue about what it’s like to be a Christian who regularly objects to the way that other Christians think about and talk about our faith.
One wonderful book that has come out of these discussions is called The Phoenix Affirmations. It’s about figuring out what progressive Christians can “affirm” about our faith even when we have disagreements with what some people say about being a Christian.
Join Ian Rottenberg for five Tuesdays this summer for an adult study as we spend the church season of “Ordinary Time” reading this book and growing together in faith. If you’d like to join us, please sign up using the form below and order your book using the link to Barnes and Noble below (or through any other online bookseller. If you have difficulty ordering the book online, please just let Ian know--ian@theGCCC.org)
